Overview

Welcome to Tents & Trails. By downloading, installing, or using the Tents & Trails application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Tents & Trails ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Tents & Trails is a logic puzzle game available for iOS and iPadOS. The App provides:

• Daily puzzle challenges across multiple difficulty levels
• Curated trail adventures with progressive puzzle sequences
• Practice mode with unlimited puzzle generation
• Global percentile rankings and statistics
• Optional in-app purchases for themes and ad removal
• Optional iCloud sync across devices

3. Eligibility

The App is rated 4+ and is available to users of all ages. If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our servers or services
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App or its backend services
• Submit false or manipulated solve data to the ranking system

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to puzzle designs, algorithms, graphics, icons, themes, animations, sounds, text, and the overall design and arrangement, is owned by or licensed to Tents & Trails and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

6. In-App Purchases

Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases including color themes and ad removal. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

Pricing

Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect previously completed purchases.

Refunds

All in-app purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Refund requests should be directed to Apple through their standard refund process.

Restoration

Purchased items can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID at no additional cost.

7. Advertisements

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these advertisements. You may remove all advertisements by purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase.

8. iCloud and Data Sync

The App offers optional iCloud sync functionality. When enabled, your game progress and settings are stored in your personal iCloud account. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from iCloud service disruptions, Apple account issues, or iCloud storage limitations.

9. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
• Change the content of daily puzzles, trails, and other game content

We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes but are not obligated to do so.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TENTS & TRAILS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tents & Trails and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tents & Trails operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
